Brand Usage
How to refer to STRIX and Strickland AI
Names We Use
These are brand names used in commerce by James Strickland, operating as Strickland Technology, in Houston, Texas:
- STRIXAgent platform and runtime
- Strickland AIThis site and the products on it
Other product and feature names on this site are used descriptively. We are not claiming exclusive rights to any of them.
What We Do Not Claim
We would rather be clear than sound impressive:
- These names are not registered with the USPTO.
- They are not registered with any state or foreign trademark office.
- We do not use the registered mark symbol for them, and we are not claiming registered or international trademark protection. If you see that symbol attached to one of our names anywhere, it is an error — tell us and we will fix it.
- What we do have is ordinary common-law standing that comes from actually using these names in business, nothing more.
- Other businesses use similar names. We are not affiliated with them, and we make no claim to their names.
This page describes how we use our own names. It is not legal advice.
How We Write Our Names
House style, not a rule we are imposing on you:
- STRIX in full capitals in prose and headings.
- Strickland AI as two words, with AI capitalized.
- Lowercase is fine wherever lowercase is normal — URLs, package names, code, handles, file paths.
Referring To Us Is Fine
You do not need our permission to use our names truthfully — in reviews, comparisons, articles, job posts, integration docs, or a line like "works with STRIX." Go ahead.
Two things we would ask you not to do:
- Present your product, company, or account as ours, or imply we built, endorsed, or sponsored something we did not.
- Use our names or logos as the identity of your own business.
Logos and Artwork
Our logos, wordmark art, icons, and site graphics are our own work and are covered by copyright. Using them to point at us in an article or a slide is normally fine. Redistributing them, editing them, or building them into your own branding is not — ask first and we will usually say yes.

Questions or Corrections
If anything on this page overstates our position, or you think one of our names steps on a name you were already using, email james@stricklandtechnology.net and we will sort it out directly.
